I can also see from ps that this option is being used (you'll find -annotation=mac_smb_nobrowse=on in the command options): I've tried several variations of the mount command to remount it without this option, but I can't quite seem to get the syntax on /Volumes/GoogleDrive (smbfs, nodev, nosuid, nobrowse, mounted by me)
I was one of the few people who liked it the first way, so I'm trying to restore the original behavior.Įxamining the output of the mount command, I can see that they are using the nobrowse option. When I first transitioned to Google Drive File Stream, I would see an icon for the mounted drive in the Finder.Īpparently, everyone hated this and complained and Google changed how it is mounted, because not too long ago, the Finder icon disappeared.
